Tap “Voice Assistant’ in the JBL Connect app, to make the “” button as the activation key of Sid or Google Now on your phone.

Press the “” button on the speaker to activate Sid or Google Now on your phone. Please make sure the Sid or Google Now is enabled on your phone.

6. JBL Connect
Wirelessly Link 100+ JBL Connect+ Speakers Together.

Play music on one of you JBL speakers and then press the JBL Connect+ button on all desired speakers to start pairing. Al the other JBL speakers will play same music from the music source.

JBL Flip 4 is IPX7 waterproof.
IMPORTANT: To ensure that the JBL Flip 4 is waterproof, please remove all cable connections and tightly close the cap; exposing the JBL Flip 4 to liquids without doing so may result in permanent damage to the speaker. And do not expose JBL Rip 4 to water while charging, as doing so may result In permanent damage to the speaker or power source.

IPX7 waterproof is defined as the speaker can be immersed in water up to lm for up to 30 minutes.

How can you pair the JBL Flip 4 speaker with a mobile device via Bluetooth? How can you perform a pairing reset?

Step 1

Turn on the loudspeaker by pressing the ON/OFF power button. Then press the Bluetooth button and you will hear an acoustic signal. The pairing mode is activated and the speaker searches for nearby devices which have Bluetooth enabled.

Step 2

Turn on the Bluetooth mode on your device (smartphone, tablet, computer). The Bluetooth light of the speaker flashes blue while the two devices try to pair.

Step 3

Select the model “JBL Flip 4” from the device list. If a code is requested, enter the combination “0000” and confirm the pairing. Once the connection has been established, the blue Bluetooth light will stay solid.

Step 4

The speaker will automatically connect to the last used device (smartphone, tablet, computer). If a connection cannot be established, the speaker switches back to the pairing mode. After approximately 10 to 15 minutes of inactivity, the speaker automatically switches to the stand-by mode.

Additional Information

The “JBL Connect+” mode allows to connect up to 100 JBL speakers simultaneously. First, pair the Flip4 speaker as described in steps 1 to 3. Then press the “JBL Connect+” button on both speakers to start the pairing. Both speakers will then play the music from the same device (smartphone, tablet, computer) at the same time.

NOTE: All speakers must support the new “JBL Connect+” standard. It is currently not possible to connect the Flip3 and Flip4 speakers to each other. The Flip3 speaker (and others from JBL) only supports the previous “JBL Connect” standard.

The play button must be pressed to enable Apple Siri OR Google Now, if this service is enabled on the device. The language assistant can be switched on and off via the JBL Connect app, which is available free of charge via the Apple iTunes or Google Store.

The LED lights and colors have different meanings.

Light Status	Speaker Status
All lights off	The speaker is turned off OR the battery is fully charged. A complete charging cycle requires approx 3.5 hours. The total playtime is approx 12 hours.
LED flashes blue	The speaker is set to the pairing mode and ready to connect with a device.
LED solid blue	The speaker is successfully paired with a device.
LED flashes white	The speaker is set to the “Stand By” mode OR is set to the pairing mode and ready to connect with another JBL speaker.
LED solid white	The speaker is turned on OR is successfully paired with another JBL speaker via “JBL Connect+”.
